Junior Division

Updated for 2024

Rules for all Junior Division Classes

  1. Exhibitors in Junior Division classes are not required to be members in the Society.
  2. Each exhibitor may enter only once in each section.
  3. Exhibits must be the new work of the exhibitor.
  4. Articles should be entered according to the grade the student was in as of June 15, 2025.
  5. Unless otherwise noted, classes are open to exhibitors 16 years of age or younger as of Sunday August 31st, 2025.
  6. Exhibitors may show in a higher grade level, but not lower.
  7. If there are more than six (6) entries in any one section, a 4th prize will be awarded, the same as a 3rd.
  8. Read carefully what is required. Not following instructions may result in disqualification or a lower placement. Size restrictions will be strictly adhered to.
  9. Articles will be judged as the product of youth…not as perfect works of art. In other words, items will be judged first on creativity.
  10. Originality and effort are as important as workmanship.
  11. Parental supervision is encouraged, but all work must be done by the child.

Note: 22cmx28cm = 8.5”x11” = Letter size, 30cmx45cm = 12”x18”

Entries can be made in advance online at kinmountfair.net. See the Rules for Exhibit Hall Classes for the drop-off schedule. Additional drop-off dates for the Junior Division may be posted on our website.
