Junior Division

Updated for 2020

Chair: Emily Pearson

Rules for all Junior Division Classes

  1. Each exhibitor may enter only once in each section.
  2. Exhibits must be the new work of the exhibitor.
  3. Articles should be entered according to the grade the student was in as of June 15.
  4. Exhibitors may show in a higher grade level, but not lower.
  5. If there are more than six (6) entries in any one section, a 4th prize will be awarded, the same as a 3rd.
  6. Read carefully what is required. Not following instructions may result in disqualification or a lower placement. Size restrictions will be strictly adhered to.
  7. Articles will be judged as the product of youth…not as perfect works of art. In other words, items will be judged first on creativity.
  8. Originality and effort are as important as workmanship.
  9. Parental supervision is encouraged, but all work must be done by the child.

Note: 22cmx28cm = 8.5”x11” = Letter size, 30cmx45cm = 12”x18”

Important note for Junior Exhibitors: You can pick up your prize winnings starting on Friday of the Fair, at the Secretary’s Office. Prizes in all Junior Division Classes will be available until Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Secretary’s Office.
