2026 Trailer Park Pre-Fair Information

Kinmount Fair Trailer Park

Hello,

The Trailer Park at the Kinmount Fair opens for camping next week! Our first day will be Tuesday, September 1st. The office will open at 7:30 am. Our full hours of operation are below:

You can bring your trailer and start camping as early as Tuesday morning when the office first opens. You can also bring your trailer and check-in anytime after this when the office is open. Enter the fairgrounds at the north gate off of County Road 503.

Remember that you will need to check-in at the office to receive your lot receipt/permit(s) and to purchase your weekend passes for the fair on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The admission prices are the same this year as last, at $40 for a weekend pass. Children 12 & under are still FREE. Additional parking also remains $10 per day – and parking for one vehicle is still included in your lot fee. All campers must obtain a weekend pass for the fair.

New Campers

If you are new to camping at the fair or think you might need some help finding your campsite, please let us know at the office. We may be able to accompany you to your spot.

Campsites are marked with a numbered flag with an arrow. All flags are read the same way to locate the campsite: Stand in the roadway, read the flag, and that lot is to the right of the flag.

If you have any doubt as to whether you are parking your trailer in the correct spot, please return to the office or call us at (705) 488-2475, and someone will come to assist as soon as possible. We want to avoid the need to ask anyone to move their trailer after it is set up, however, you will be required to move if not set up on the correct lot.

Parking

A reminder that parking for one vehicle is included with each paid campsite and one vehicle/trailer combination is permitted per campsite. Additional vehicles are permitted on campsites purchased for the purpose of parking, as long as they have a parking permit displayed and are not blocking the roadway.

If you cannot fit your vehicle and trailer together on your campsite, you must park your vehicle in a designated parking area on the fairgrounds with a parking permit displayed. Your trailer park car pass permits parking in any designated parking area on the fairgrounds. Refer to the fairgrounds map on the program of events to see parking areas. Additional parking areas within the trailer park may be signed at the discretion of trailer park staff.

Smoke and CO Detectors

Trent Lakes Fire Rescue has asked us to ensure that campers are aware that under the Ontario Fire Code, trailers and RVs with sleeping accommodations must have working smoke detectors installed. If the trailer or RV has any fuel burning appliances, then a CO (carbon monoxide) detector is also required.

Please ensure that your trailer has working smoke/CO detectors before you arrive at the fairgrounds.

Trent Lakes Fire Rescue has generously provided a limited number of smoke and CO detectors to the Trailer Park Office for any campers who forget to replace theirs prior to arriving at the fairgrounds. Inquire at the office for details.

Rules

All campers must be familiar with the rules of the Kinmount Fair Trailer Park. The rules are available online and are posted at the Trailer Park Office.

A reminder that tents are not permitted in the trailer park. Dining tents and shelters without walls are allowed.

Decorating Contest

Our Trailer Park Decorating Contest is back for a second year! The theme this year is “Timber! Plaids and Pines”. The winner will receive a voucher for their trailer park lot fee for 2027, and a banner to display at their site celebrating their win.

For full details and how to enter the contest, visit our website.

Support the Fair

We thank all of our campers for supporting the fair and the Kinmount Agricultural Society through camping with us year after year.

Did you know: the Kinmount Agricultural Society owns the fairgrounds, including the trailer park areas. The proceeds from trailer park lot fees and admissions go directly to maintaining and improving the property and our infrastructure.

If you’re interested in further supporting the fair through a sponsorship, please contact me or our fundraising committee at kinmountfairfof@gmail.com.

The 50/50 raffle is back again this year. For the current pot and ticket prices, visit https://rafflebox.ca/raffle/kas-fair/
