Trailer Park Office Hours and Check-InPlease arrive when the office is open so you can check-in, pay for your lot(s) if not paid in advance, and purchase your fair admission wristbands and any additional parking passes for the weekend. Remember that one parking pass is included per site.
When you check-in, you will receive receipts for each lot and these double as your campsite permit. Make sure you keep this permit available in your trailer or RV for inspection upon request. Municipal Burn BansThere are currently full burn bans in place in the Municipality of Trent Lakes (where the fairground and trailer park is located) and in the neighbouring City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton. All open-air burning is prohibited. The burn ban includes (per trentlakes.ca):
Propane and electric cooking appliances are permitted during the burn ban. We ask all campers to use extreme caution around your campsite, especially when using any propane appliances or generators. Do not leave any of this equipment unattended while in use. Consider keeping a fire extinguisher and bucket of water accessible in case a fire starts. Call 911 immediately if a fire is detected. The Trent Lakes Grass and Forest Fire Index is monitored daily and is posted at the Trailer Park Office. Remember that even if the full burn ban is lifted, a daytime burn ban will still be in place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Alcohol PolicyYou and anyone else in your party must follow our rules, including those related to alcohol.Open alcohol is permitted only on your registered campsite. Alcohol is prohibited outside of the trailer park and must not be taken onto the fairgrounds. Anyone spotted with alcohol will be directed to return to a campsite or to pour it out. Smoke and CO DetectorsA reminder that under the Ontario Fire Code, trailers and RVs must have working smoke alarms installed, and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors are required if the trailer or RV is equipped with a fuel-burning appliance. Ensure that you have these devices installed in your trailer or RV and that they have been tested and are working before you arrive at the trailer park.
