Lawn Tractor Pull

Rules and Regulations

  1. All pullers must wear a helmet when pulling.
  2. Tractor must be in sound and presentable condition.
  3. Tractor must have working brakes.
  4. All attachments – such as cutting decks – must be removed.
  5. No dual wheels or tire chains are allowed.
  6. Nothing is allowed to drop from the tractor. This includes parts or fluid. In the event that something is dropped during the pull, the pull will be stopped immediately.
  7. All moving parts on tractor must be adequately guarded.
  8. Draw bar height is 12” maximum for all classes and will be checked.
  9. All weights are to be fastened securely to the tractor wheels and/or chassis.
  10. Tractor weight includes the driver.
  11. The tractor may be entered in a maximum of 2 classes.
  12. There is a maximum of 2 drivers allowed on one tractor.
  13. Participants under 16 years of age must have adult accompaniment.
  14. All participants must sign a liability waiver and have read and understood the rules and guidelines. Participants under 16 years of age must also have an adult sign the waiver.
  15. Class winners may jump to the next weight class and pull last with no additional weight.
  16. Each class winner is qualified for the open class.
  17. Open class is open to any age of participant. In all other classes, participants must be between the ages of 10 and 21 as of January 1st of the current year.
  18. A hookup fee will be applied to each driver and each class tractor is registered in. This fee is paid at the time of registration.
  19. A pull shall be considered complete when forward motion of load stops.
  20. Entry forms and waivers will be available at the registration table.

Classes

Class 1: Lawn Stock

Section 1: Up to and including 500 lbs
Section 2: 501 – 700 lbs

Specific Guidelines

  1. Tractor must be completely factory stock.
  2. Only factory supplied wheel weights can be used.
  3. No additional weights allowed.
  4. No loaded tires.
  5. Turf type tires only.
  6. Tractors must pull from the original draw bar.
  7. No governor override allowed.
  8. Operator must have care and control of tractor.

Class 2: Stock

Section 1: Up to and including 600 lbs
Section 2: 601 – 800 lbs
Section 3: 801 – 1000 lbs

Specific Guidelines

  1. Tractor must have original engine with NO modifications.
  2. Additional weights other than factory supplies wheel weights are allowed, this includes fluid loaded tires, provided they are mounted according to general guidelines.
  3. Bar tread and ATV type tires are permitted.
  4. No governor override allowed.
  5. “Anti flip bars” are recommended.
  6. All weights to be mounted ahead of centre line of drive axle.
  7. If an electric fuel pump is used, the machine must have a dead man tether attached.
  8. Operator must have care and control of tractor.

Class 3: Modified Stock

Section 1: Up to and including 600 lbs
Section 2: 601 – 800 lbs
Section 3: 801 – 1000 lbs

Specific Guidelines

  1. Tractors must have a 4 cycle lawn tractor type engine.
  2. Tractor can have a maximum of 2 cylinders.
  3. Tractor is to have standard lawn and garden tractor look.
  4. “Anti-flip bars” are required.
  5. Weights may be mounted behind drive axle.
  6. If electric fuel pump is used the machine must have a dead man tether attached.
  7. Operator must have care and control of tractor.

Class 4: Vintage Lawn Tractor

Specific Guidelines

  1. Looks old.
  2. Factory wheel weights only.
  3. Must have working brakes.
  4. Must have all guards in place and secured.
  5. No cutting deck.
  6. No fluids leaking from tractor.
  7. Operator must have care and control of tractor.

Class 5: Open Lawn and Utility Tractor

Specific Guidelines

  1. Maximum 100 lbs without operator.
  2. Limited to 3-cyclinder engine.
  3. Must be lawn tractor based.
  4. Stock tractor must meet Class 2 specs.
  5. Modified tractor must meet Class 3 specs.
  6. If electric fuel pump is used the machine must have a dead man tether attached.
  7. Operator must have care and control of tractor.

Entry forms will be available by August 1, 2019.
