Classes 1-5 Draft Horse Specials
- Four Horse Hitch, heavy draft, to
be show on grounds. Judged on conformation, manners and equipment (not necessarily owned by one exhibitor). 1st – $80 and $70 for each additional hitch, 3:30 p.m. - Four Horse Hitch, light draft. Conditions same as Section 1. 3:30 p.m.
- Six Horse Hitch. Conditions the same as section 1. 1st – $100, 2nd – $80, 3rd – $70, 4th – $60, 5th – $50. A $750 Incentive will be paid for each Six Horse Horse Hitch exhibitor provided they show in at least 3 additional categories.

All light teams subject to weigh-in. combined weight not to exceed 3300 lbs. Proof of insurance is required. Drug testing when requested. Prize money is 1st – $400, 2nd – $300, 3rd – $280, 4th – $250, 5th – $240 and $100 to each additional team. Operated according to the rules of the Central Canadian Horse Pulling Association.
Best Dressed Light Team: sponsored by Gerard Pearson and the Joe Rettie Memorial Fund, in memory of Ralph Pearson. - Drawing Match – Heavy Horses. Rules:
- Membership is $12 per exhibitor.
- Memberships entitle livestock exhibitors to one entry to the fairgrounds with one helper. Livestock trailers must enter through the Reid St. Gate.
- No entry fee will be charged for YOUTH classes.
- Entry fee & membership will be required for anyone competing in OPEN classes.
- Entries must preregister with the Secretary of the Fair Board. Mail entries to:
